Saving Money on the Doctor Visit
I was having stomach pains, but I really didn't want to pay $20 for a doctor visit. I was telling this to a friend of mine who said he'd had the same thing, and he went to the doctor. The doctor said "don't worry, it's just indigestion."
Relieved, I went on and ignored the pain. Later in the week, I called my friend to see if he was better, and his wife answered the phone. "Joe's dead," she told me.
Now I was scared. I went to the hospital, and after $1200 of tests, they told me that I had indigestion.
Now I was mad. I called my friend's wife back up. "Did Joe suffer much before he died?" I asked.
"No, after the truck hit him, he went just like that."
